Good evening everyone,
How was your day? I hope you’ve had/are having a good one.
I woke up at about 10 a.m, feeling super hungry, ate breakfast, went back to bed and woke up at about 3 p-m. Sleeping while Mr.R was doing his own thing. I’ve been sleeping well, despite my nightmares, but way too much.
It was super hot here and not windy, for the first time in weeks. We’ve had wind for a long time now. I hung a load of laundry and we decided it was hot enough to go to the beach, which is about 10 minutes away. Today it took longer, maybe 20 minutes, to get there because it was a public holiday in the city and lots of people come here for the beach so there was traffic. The beach was not so full, though.
We like to go to one where the river mouth meets the sea, so you have the river water, which is shallow and forms a lake and then you have the sea with big waves on the other side. We like to go and have our towels by the lake because it’s calmer and less crowded and we can get into the lake and not worry about it being dangerous. The other side is very dangerous. The waves are usually pretty big and scary so only a few people get in and there’s a ton of surfers. Here’s a few pictures I took:

We got home and decided to take a shower obviously. I forbade Mr.R to sit anywhere and told him to come and take a shower with me, so we could just get rid of all the sand and sandy clothes all at once. When we were both with shampoo and soap all over, we ran out of gas and we both had to finish our shower with COLD water. Poor us. I love a warm shower after coming home from the beach. I think it was bad Karma because we were looking at this lady’s tattoo and calling it a tramp stamp. You get what you deserve.
I then made some quick dinner (whole wheat pasta, shrimp, coconut milk, seeds, a little curry powder) and we watched 3 episodes of the new season of Ink Master. How we both like this series so much, I have no idea. We both have 0 tattoos and I don’t think any of us could rock one. We wish we could be that cool.
I’ve never mentioned this but I would actually like to have a few small tattoos. My sister and I have talked about doing one on our foot/ankle with the saying “sisters by chance, friends by choice”, so that’s the first one. I would like to have a small book and a worm going through it with the words “book-worm” on my hip, a small red heart under my left breast for each child I have and a stethoscope with a heart on the inside of my wrist if I ever become a doctor.
Will I get them? I have no idea. My skin is extremely sensitive and my pain tolerance is really low when it comes to it. When Rosa scratches me accidentally I get a huge scratch and a bruise and it really hurts. I don’t know if I could take the pain. I’m not afraid of needles, though and I have 0 issues when it comes to blood tests, vaccines, IVs, etc. so I don’t know how it might go.
Anyway, Rui works tomorrow and is home again on Thursday (another religious holiday) so we might go to the beach again. Or maybe to the pool, that would be nice.
I already have the dates for most of my exams. Unfortunately I have 2 on July 5th, one of them at 10 a.m and the other at 12. p.m. so no break between those two. Two exams on the same day is bad enough, one after the other is just bad luck. Then I have two on the 7th, one at 10 a.m and the other at 2 p.m. Two on the same day again, but at least I can have a lunch break. Then I have my Italian exam on the 18th, which is better. I don’t have the dates for Business English and North American Cinema yet.
I’ve decided to drop German, it’s just not going to be possible. I have way to much revision to do for this and it’s not mandatory so I can always do it any other time, not being a student at the university, as they have language classes for everyone who wants to attend them for a smallish price.
So I’ll do 7 exams, instead of 8. Unfortunately 4 of them are on the same week, 2 on each day, with only one day apart. It’ll be fine, I hope.
I have a few things I want to do tomorrow, studying is one of them.
So, this is my update for today.
See you tomorrow.
Love,
Cheila
