Perfect Party Series #9: Sara

Today I’m featuring my Absolute Party Winner!!

Her name is Sara and she blogs at

I wish I knew Sara as well as a few of the other bloggers I have featured before, but the truth is I don’t. Because of that, I’ll start with her telling us about herself in her own words:

I write about:

  • Sheffield, England where I live: culture, food and events.
  • Theatre
  • Books
  • I’m not a big film buff but do write about films I watch.
  • Wonderwalls globally.
  • Places I have travelled to: China, Prague, Amsterdam, Croatia…
  • My adventures spotting gold post boxes and sculptures such as 2016 Sheffield elephants, Lambanas, Hull 2017 moths, Lincoln 2017 bishops from May 2017.

and answering my party questions:

I’m Sara. My blog is called Wonderwall 360. Because it is about my 360 I.e my world. I have been writing about some ‘wonderwalls’ like Great Wall of China and John Lennon’s wall in Prague. Also I’m a big Oasis fan and Wonderwall is their song.

I have enjoyed every minute of the party from getting ready for it. Getting ready to go out can be so much fun; the anticipation so I loved writing about my outfit. Then dipping into different people’s blogs has been amazing. Been inspired to write a post about ‘If we had coffee’ and from Cheila ‘If I owned a coffee shop’. Thanks to those who have viewed my posts; definitely had more views this week.

I live in Sheffield which is an hour way from Manchester on the train. Manchester is the home to my favorite band Oasis. Little did I know when party started on Monday, what was going to happen later. But that makes me appreciate knowing all the nice people in the world even more.

So far we know that she is super nice, she’s from England and she is an Oasis fan. That alone is enough for me to like her 🙂

She was very active at my party and she obviously won because she was the only one who did a post about what she was wearing to my party.

Here’s the post:

And here’s the amazing outfit she chose:

I mean, the girl chose a perfect pink dress for my party and she posted about it, that’s really going all the way and being really supportive. I love the outfit!!

As the winner, she got a 10€ Starbucks gift card. I hope there is enough to pay for a Starbucks drink. I know she doesn’t like coffee or any kind of black tea, mostly herbal infusions so I hope she can either get something like that or that she spends it all on muffins and donuts. I’m happy as long as she has something to eat or drink on me.

After doing some digging, I’ve discovered that she is 34 years old and that she has a 35 by 35 list. OMG. I need to share that. You know how much I love lists, bonus points if it’s a New Year’s Resolution’s list, a bucket list, or the kind where you have a deadline to complete some goals. Her 35 by 35 sounds just perfect.

Here’s her list: (latest update)

35 by 35 Progress

She has completed quite a few things from her list and I think I’m inspired to do something like that next year. I would do 26 before 26 but my birthday is in October, which is not that far away. She’s a Scorpio too, actually, so we share them same Zodiac sign. I wonder if her birthday is in October or November. Sara? Mine is October 23rd. Are we close?

She’s a fan of Love, Actually, which I love. I think we would have so much to talk about over Chamomile or Peppermint tea.

She has a whole category dedicated to homelessness, as she has written about the subject during Lent, this year. Being an issue that so many of us ignore, intentionally or unintentionally, maybe her articles will bring it to our attention and make us do something for someone in need. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

She’s a book lover and you can find some reviews, along with a few other book related posts:

A Review Of Into The Water By Paula Hawkins

Olive Kitteridge by Emma Stout

Are All True Stories: Non-Fiction? Review Of The Zookeeper’s Wife

She’s kind enough to let you know that some of these reviews contain spoilers, so keep that in mind if you’re about to read them.

She’s loves hot chocolate and she has tried it at quite a few places, so there are tonnes of hot chocolate reviews:

Along with the reviews, you can find the most delicious pictures:

As she has told us, she likes to write about Sheffield:

Sheffield May Bank Holiday Food Festival

Light Cinema, Sheffield

A List To Be Grown As Why Sheffield Is A City Of Culture

Well, I guess I’ll finish here. Sara, please tell me if I’m missing something really important!

I don’t know about you but I would love to get to know her better. So do you? Please go over to her blog, look around a give her a big follow. She sounds lovely, doesn’t she?

Thank you, Sara.

I really hope you enjoy this post.

Perfect Party Series #8: Lee

It’s time to introduce you to my soul sister Lee, who blogs at Golden Pink Journal. We first bonded over our blog names, because of the word “pink”. We’ve bonded over many other things since and that’s why we call ourselves soul sisters. We have so much in common. A similar childhood, similar ways of thinking, similar problems happening at the same time. Lee is one of the few blogger friends I exchange emails with. We’re just that close. I love her personality and I feel like I’ve known her for a long time. I also have the privilege of being the only one in our blogging family who knows her first name, because sisters just have to. (Am I still the only one, honey?)

Do you know her? She’s quite popular so I’m sure you do. If not, I would love if you took a moment of your time to go over to her blog and get to know her better. She’s so worth it. She blogs about many different subjects and has quite a few series going on. She’s a writer and she gifts us with a new short story every saturday.

What do you think about her new header image? I’m in love with it. The pink, the font, the color scheme, just perfect! Also, the words have everything to do with her. She’s inspiring, loving and creative.

She’s a cat mom to Izabelle, a gorgeous kitten she has recently adopted. I mean, just look at her:

She’s also mom to two Guinea pigs, I wish I remembered their names. They have a YouTube channel, though, so you can check on them.

Lee writes poetry too, having a whole category dedicated to it.

Here’s one of my favorites:

Letter To My Mother Away

Mother you’re away still

I’ve never been able to celebrate with you for Mother’s Day,

or any other occasion.

Every year I watch all the other sons and daughters with their mothers

I tell my aunt Happy Mother’s Day! But it’s just not the same…

She has her own children

Like you have your own

But you left yours to be all alone

High off life without me

It couldn’t have been easy

But it was harder being low and sober

You needed it but you didn’t need

Me as a baby, and the thought of you leaving

The pain makes me queasy

And I blame you for many things

The root of my pain

But I never hated you

I still love you

Even when I barely know you

It’s such a shame

How do you even remember me?

You told me you didn’t remember my little brothers name

But I still love you

I was still happy I could be there with you for a moment

and you were okay

It felt like a miracle

I was in the hospital only months before from that car crash

Then there I was

Walking through hospital doors

To meet you alive

Smiling and laughing

Giving me advice for the first time

Promising we’d keep in touch this time for the second time

It was the best day of my life

I thought I’d finally have you in my life

And I did for a while

Then Mother’s Day came around

You were no where to be found…

Mother away

It’s been about 2 years since then

I haven’t heard from you since

But I’ve been told you’ve been seen and you’ve been asking about me

Is it true?

But if you really wanted me

I know you could find me

just like I found you

Still I love you

And I have hope

Broken hope

That has not died

And If it’s not too late

When you come around

(Please don’t wait

to come around)

I’ll be by your side

This poet was written to her mom, in a post where she talks about their story and her relationship with her mom:

Every day, I look forward to her Today’s to-do, where she shares her list of tasks for the day and updates us on her progress. You know I love lists, so this might be my favorite series of hers. I love to know how she spends her days and if you share any tasks for a given day.

Fun Friday is another series of hers, posting something fun and different every Friday.

My personal favorites:

Fun Friday #10: Playlist Edition

Fun Friday #7

Fun Friday #6: “Meet Izabelle/Izellah?”

Fun Friday #4

As I’ve told you before, she has a series called Short Story Saturday:

Short Story Saturday: Izabelle’s Edition

Short Story Saturday! “My 1st love/heartbreak”

Short Story Saturday: The Beauty in Lyric

There’s so much more to her blog. I hope you go over there and check a few of her posts, maybe give her a follow? I would be really happy if you did.

I’d like to finish with her answers to my Perfect Party Series questions:

What was your favorite thing about my party?

It was so unique! I’m actually upset that I made it a little late but apparently not too late – The party lasted 3 days!! So I was able to still make an appearance and some new blogging friends:)

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

I did get a few and I followed a few💕

Did you make any friends?

I did💕

Dear Lee,

I have nothing but love for you, my sister. We have so much in common and I feel so lucky to have met you. We’re both damaged but strong, aren’t we? I admire you so much and I love being able to follow your journey. I’m always here for you, you know that.

Perfect Party Series #7 – Jane Love

Today I bring you my dear Jane-bug!!

Oh yes, we do have nicknames for each other. I’m Chey, nice to meet you!

Jainey is the cutest most lively and funny and sweet 16-year-old girl.

She blogs over at Harmonious Joy a website she shares with two of her friends. Together, they aim to teach others how to be their best selves, through their well-written, informative and helpful articles.

Her middle name is love and I should tell you that it suits her perfectly.

Jane describing herself:

I have a passion for creating impact in people’s lives and I focus on teens, and young adult because of my desire to see a more realistic generation of young people. People who have a genuine say and a true voice of their own… not just an echo of some celebrity they think they love.

Her true goal is to make the world a better place. Isn’t that what we should all be doing?

Jane is really creative, a talented writer and such an intelligent young woman. She’s definitely a role model for girls her age.

I’ll leave you with a few of her articles:

Save Earth – Sustainable development – An article about preserving our planet and how important it is for each of us to do their part and contribute to saving our planet.

Stress and Depression – The differences and similarities between stress and depression and how the two can be easily confused.

Differences Between Anxiety and Stress – Definition of anxiety and stress and the distinction between the two.

Other articles regarding stress:

Symptoms of Stress

Possible Causes of Stress

Types of Stress

Articles on Self-knowledge and self-image:

Being Self-Confident

Get A Better Mirror – knowing Yourself

As you can see, Jane writes about several topics. I’m not mentioning all of them, so I highly recommend that you go over to her website and go through her work. Maybe you could take a look at her friends’ articles as well? I’m sure you’ll find them interesting.

And now, I must mention: Jane writes poetry as well.

Jane Loves Poetry #1 – Love That Knows No Bounds

Jane Loves Poetry #2 – Rapture In A Dream

Jane Loves Poetry #3 – Dark Memories

Jane Loves Poetry #4 – Unconscious

Jane Loves Poetry #5 – A Heartfelt Prayer

That’s not all she writes. Along with her articles and poetry, Jane writes amazing fiction. She has written a short-story to be featured on my blog as part of my Guest Post Sunday series. Her story will be posted on June 25th. Make sure you don’t miss it. It’s really good and I know you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

Now, to finish, it’s time for Jane’s answers to my Perfect Party Series questions:

Tell us about yourself.

I’m Jane Love, a teenage girl with big dreams and a drive to make them into realities. I am passionate about helping others in need and teaching what I can to my generation of kids about how to live a happy positive life and achieve your dreams.

I’m also a bookworm with a record of finishing the biggest Harry Potter book in 7 hours when I was younger. I spend a lot of time reading books (motivational, fiction, non-fiction, etc) because I find that it helps me learn how to express myself better. And if I’m not reading books, I’m either reading articles online or writing stories/articles.

I grew up with four super awesome siblings (the last) who have helped, in addition to my Mom’s mothering, shaped me into the person I am today.

With a seven-year writing and four-year public speaking background, I am seeking to impact my world through my words. I reach out to teens, young adults and people who wish to learn how to make themselves heard.
I also recently collaborated with Ipuna Black and eight other super awesome bloggers on the “how to deal with loss” series. (Doesn’t she sound wonderful, I just love her personality)

What was your favorite thing about my party?

I’d say I really loved the party animals.😎😎 Initially, I only came for the food. But then while chatting with them, I lost interest in the food (almost impossible if pizza is involved) and more in our convo. Also, NOBODY minded the fact that I was wearing a suit.😂😂 (Guys, she was the life of the party. She talked to everyone, was super funny and everyone loved her)

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

On a serious note, that’s classified information. On a more jovial note, YES!!

Did you make any friends?

Yep. Definitely yep!! At least five I can boldly mention. PJ Queen, Cakes Frenzy Queen (Hannah!!!), David, and two other people I want to remain a mystery.😜😜 (Of course she hid! How could she not have made any friends? She’s just awesome!)

Dear Jainey,

I hope you like this little post I’ve done for you. It doesn’t do you justice, you absolutely rock and I’m not good enough with my words to match your awesomeness. It’s written with love, though.

Huge hug, reindeer.

P.S I have forgotten to add both Angela’s and Ella’s answers to my questions on their respective posts. Silly me. So sorry, girls.

Perfect Party Series #6 – Ella May Garrett

This Monday I’m featuring dear blogger and friend Ella May Garrett. Do you like Mondays, dear Ella? I bet you do, just like everyone.

Do you know Ella?

First of all, I need to say I feel in love with her name as soon as I met her. Ella May might be the cutest, girliest, classiest, most princess like name ever. I would name one of my future girls Ella or May or Ella May in a heartbeat.

Secondly, I mean, this girl named her blog after herself. That’s brilliant. What’s your blog name? Ella May Garrett. She’s like Madonna but with three names.

Thirdly, this girl is absolutely gorgeous. There’s a photo of her that reminds me so much of the girl in my Syoss shampoo bottle, with her long, silky beautiful hair.

20 points if you go over to her Instagram and find out which photo I’m talking about.

(Not you, Ella, contest is not open to you)

So, have I made her blush enough? I can’t look at a beautiful woman and not tell her so. It’s my girls having girls backs rule number 1.

Next, we should all look at her header image. Very simple, classy and so beautiful. Who needs more than that? I love it.

She has recently reached 800 followers!! Congratulations, Ella. It’s no surprise for me that 1000 is so close for her, her blog is really good.

She writes about a variety of topics and there’s something for everyone. She’s 20 and she’s a student. She studies English Literature and Philosophy. I’m an English lit girl, so we definitely have something in common. She’s also a cat lady. Yep, she has 3 cats! She’s the sweetest person and she writes beautifully. She has just written an amazing, thought-provoking post for my blog, where she talks about how much of a struggle it is for us women to handle clothes sizes and how that might affect our self-esteem and mood, if we let it.

I’m sorry I’m linking up to my blog, but I think you should read her post. Ella, I would love if you would re-blog this post because it’s just so well-written and it’s true and familiar for so many of us.

Guest Post Sunday – “Clothes Sizes” by Ella May Garrett

As a student, she has written this amazing series called “The Student Diaries” where she tells us how to or how she handles different situations a student might come across. There’s three parts to the series and I do hope she keeps this up and writes about her experiences as a student and shares more tips with us.

I Went Through Clearing | The Student Diaries #1

How To Handle A Bad Mark | The Student Diaries #2

How To Revise For Exams | The Student Diaries #3

Ella was diagnosed with depression last year and this is something I can relate to, so I couldn’t do this post without sharing her most recent update.

My Mental Health Update

If you would like to get to know her better (and you definitely should) there’s a Q&A where she discusses different topics.

My First Q&A Part I – University and Travel

My First Q&A Part II – Ambitions, University and Blogging

Before I finish, I would like to leave you with my personal favorite posts:

My Dream Home

She does have great taste, just look at it:

A Day In The Life

Because you know how much I love this type of post and can’t get enough of knowing what my friends are up to. I’m just nosy, can’t help it.

There so much more I could say about Ella, but I think it’s better if you go over to her blog, check her posts, and see for yourself how wonderful she is.

Dear Ella,

I really hope you like this post and that it’s a good enough reflection of the smart, beautiful and kind person you are. I’m really happy to have met you and to be able to follow your life journey through your amazing blog. Lots of love and a big hug.

Perfect Party Series #5 Angela Jenkins

Yes, I did write her last name on purpose. She got married recently and I know she loves to see Rory’s (her husband) last name after her first. I mean, if you were in love and got married and decided to rock your husband’s last name, wouldn’t you be proud too.

This post is really close to my heart, as I consider Angela one of my blogging best friends. We are similar in many things and I just love talking to her. Also, she’s so kind and sweet and you can’t help but to love her.

I mean, first of all, she has been known to send you an email in which the subject is “sup”. She’s so funny. She’s also a bit geeky and we could never watch a movie together because we are into completely different things. Luckily, her husband shares her taste, so they have loads of fun together.

She’s my age (25) and she lives in New Zealand. She is half Filipino on her mom’s side. She lives in Wellington, New Zealand which means she’s always 11 hours ahead of me. We manage to talk anyway, usually when one of us is about to go to bed and the other has just got up. She is an early childhood teacher which means she cuddles babies and toddlers for a living. I mean she teaches them but she also gets to hold them and that makes me super jealous. I wish I could spend my day with cute babes.

As a newlywed, she frequently talks about her wedding, which we girls love! Let me show you some of my favorite wedding pictures:

View More: More: More: More:

Aren’t day so cute together? What a beautiful couple. And she looks so gorgeous! Her wedding dressing is breathtaking and definitely something I would choose for myself.

Angela, Maggie and I have recently done a One Month Blogging Challenge together, which is a great way for you to get to know Angela better, if you don’t know her already. She’s quite popular, let me tell you.

She has a whole category dedicated to the challenge and you can get there Here.

Angela loves to travel and she has several posts dedicated to her trips. My favorite is her Honeymooning in Fiji post. But there are many more to choose from.

She has an amazing family and they’re all so close. You can read about them often on her blog. Some of the posts where you can get to know her mom and dad, brother and sister are:

I usually love all of her posts but I have some favorites I need to share with you:

I just love her weekend reviews. I get to know what she was up to, what groceries she buys and she usually adds a to-do list and you know I’m a sucker for those.

Weekend Review

Weekend Review #2

Weekend Review #3

This girl bakes. Who doesn’t love a baking post?

She has a whole category dedicated to food. I mean, you need to check it out:

Prepare yourself for delicious looking cookies. Just saying.

Now, I can’t let you go without reading:

Angela’s Bucket List

A day in her life

… because these are also my favorite type of posts.

Now, if you don’t know Angela, you just have to. She now has about 500 followers (I guess more?) and you need to become one of them. She’s so worth it. She’s friendly and supportive and super funny and encouraging. She’s also very present in the blogging community, blogging every day, sometimes more than once, so you always have fresh posts to enjoy.

I just love her blog and her lovely personality. I know that you will too.

Thank you, Angela, for being such a good and sweet friend. I hope you like this post.

Huge hug.

Perfect Party Series #4 Dippy-Dotty Girl

Do you know Dippy-Dotty girl? She blogs over at:

Her real name is Arundhati. She’s from India. I call her Cathy, it’s my nickname for her ever since we met. It’s not that I don’t like her name, it’s just so I don’t misspell it. It’s our private joke. She’s the funniest person you’ll ever meet. She used to live in Northampton but now homegirl is moving to NEW YORK. Are you jealous yet? I’m sure her travelling diary will get even more excited now. I can’t wait for all the New York posts.

She wrote a post about her move:

Northampton to New York

She’s married to Adi, and they make a very cute couple together.

Just look at them… I love them as a couple.

She mostly writes about her trips and she always goes to the nicest places with the most breathtaking views. She hikes a little, unless it’s too close to water or bugs. Mostly, she eats. Especially popcorn, her meal of choice. She has them all the time and feels no shame about it. She eats as much as an athlete, or so she tells me. She’s still tiny, though. Worry not.

She’s an amazing writer and an avid reader. A fellow English major. We share many favorites in terms of books. She’s also my pen pal. Oh yeah. I love getting her mail. She’s the sweetest, most supportive friend. What you don’t know and she doesn’t know is that she is my favorite blogging friend. I feel really close to her and would love to meet her one day. I think we have an amazing connection and a very similar sense of humor, although she’s much more ladylike than I am. I’m a truck driver comparing to her, when it comes to sick/dark jokes and swearing.

I’m not that into travelling posts, to be completely honest. What attracts me is her writing, her beautiful personality, her sense of humor. I just love you, my dear Cathy. You’re an amazing friend.

(Is it me or this post is a little more sentimental than the others? She’s just one of my favorite people ever and I’m actually sad she is moving so far away)

My favorite posts:

On not meeting Demelza in Poldark country – I mean, I love Poldark. And I got a postcard with a miner eating a pastry that I initially thought to be a raw sweet potato. Long story.

Catalogue for the Dandy Traveller – Just a good, funny post with great pictures.

Friends for days tag – Doing my tag. Makes me so proud. This is how she describes me:

“Cheila has a wicked sense of humour and blogs about her life, the stars of which are her dog Rosa and her partner Rui. She is also battling depression. This is her attempt at giving new blogs some lovin’ and old blogs an extra dose of it. ”

Wicked sense of humor? Have no idea what she means!

Tuktuk – About her late beloved dog. Such an emotional post. She even shares a beautiful poem:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset
He was the cutest dog

Something that could totally happen to me: She almost lost her flight to NY. Oh, dear.

On almost not making it

It’s a sign, love. You should not move so far away from me!!

You also need to check her lovely about page:

About me

Before I finish this post, I have to share her answers to my questions.

Tell us about yourself.

The moment you say that, I freeze. Hmm let me think. I am just a girl waiting for the perfect cupcake to fall into her lap. No wait, I am just a girl waiting for a big dog to dress up, cuddle and annoy. I give up! Would a writer with a variety of alter egos suffice?

(It will darling, don’t worry. You forgot to mention the popcorn)

What was your favorite thing about my party?

Cheila, the banter and all those cupcakes, aah. Rosa too. I do not want sweet teenagers to go sulk in a corner. And then no one puts Rosa in a corner.

(She mentions cupcakes all the time. Do you think she has a problem? She loves Rosa, though)

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

I think so. Definitely one (don’t you go sniggering now!)

(Not too bad!)

Did you make any friends?

One lives in hope.

(hahaha she’s just too much)

Dearest girl, I hope you have the time of your life in New York. Just don’t pull a Carrie Bradshaw and walk the city in your underwear. Let’s keep some dignity. I hope you find the best popcorn ever and a million cupcakes to try. Seriously, I hope you are happy there. You and Adi, of course. Don’t be a stranger.

Love you, beautiful girl.

Perfect Party Series #3 – Hannah

Today I’m featuring Hannah, who blogs at:

Which might be one of the best blog names ever. I have no idea what it means but it sounds philosophical. Can you tell us, dear Hannah?

Her header image is from her actual bookshelf and all of the girls were drooling over it when she showed us the whole thing in her Room Tour. I’m as nosy as they come so this is obviously one of my favorite posts.

Hannah is in university, doing her Masters in Environmental Biology after studying Marine Zoology. So we have a science, animal lover girl. She’s the sweetest you will meet and she’s so smart too.

My favorite uni related posts:

My Study Essentials

What’s in my bag – Uni edition – Come on, you know how nosy I am and that I love a good “what’s in my bag” post. I might do one some of these days. Girly apparently loves Cath Kidston as much as I do. I cry because it’s too expensive here in Portugal.

I mean…

Hannah did a whole post on this Stabilo Pastel Highlighters, which I love but can’t yet find here in Portugal, and I might get violent if someone else posts about these.

*cries her eyes out*

What else can you find on her blog? Oh my, so many cool things.

She does haul posts:

Shopping Trip

Shopping haul – Where she is not afraid of showing you she got herself some stuffed animals:

Such a cute Nemo and… whatever is that fish is called

She cooks and bakes, too. Full of talents!!

Bake With Me #2 – Chocolate Brownies

I have no words!

Cook With Me #1 – Chilli

“Hello, Hannah? I’m coming for dinner. See you soon.”

She travels!!

Climbing Mount Snowdon

Look at her tired but proud and cute face!

She reads so much!! *slaps herself in shame for not doing the same*

*Cries, remembering the first movie*

She even has a cute… ebook reader?

Oh, the cover!

She is such a Harry Potter fan that she even has a whole category dedicated to it.

Harry Potter

Now, one of my favorite posts might be her A Day in My Life. I just like to know what other people are up too, not nosy at all.

Before I finish, I’ll give you her answers to my questions:

Tell us about yourself.

I’m Hannah and I’m 23. I’m currently studying a masters in Environmental Biology at university, having an undergraduate degree in Marine Zoology. I love reading, baking, cooking and the outdoors… and chocolate. (We all know she likes her chocolate)

What was your favorite thing about my party?

Aside from eating lots of chocolate cake (told you) it was great fun to meet new bloggers and find new blogs to follow and interact with lots of people! 🙂

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Yes I had a lot of new views and about 10 new followers! 😀 Thank you 🙂  (Not bad, right?)

Did you make any friends?

Yes, definitely 🙂 (And this makes my heart happy)

If you want to get to know Hannah a little better, she got you covered:

25 Facts About Me

Get To Know Me

And her latest post: (I haven’t even read this one)

May Favorites 2017

Now, I need to tell you how much I love and admire this girl. She is so sweet and nice to everyone, she really participated in my party and was welcoming to everyone, she has such interesting posts on so many different topics… She’s just amazing. How do you do it all girl? How do you manage to study and cook and bake and travel and shop and read and blog? Please, do tell us. We need to know your organization and time management tips (Post suggestion?).

I also adore Hannah because she is one of my pen pals!! Oh yeah, I haven recently got the sweetest post and am in the process of sending her one. See, she even has time to send posts to her friends? Hannah, I want to be like you, girl!!

Guys, if you don’t know Hannah, you probably live under a rock and are missing out on super cool people. Please go by her blog and spend a few minutes (or hours, it sucks you in) going through her posts. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love.

Thank you for being such a party girl, dear Hannah!!

Health for days journey – May 30th (update)

Good evening friends,

I’m kind of sad and a bit surprised about something. Someone has stopped reading my blog because of my cursing. I didn’t think it was that bad.

Remember my survey from a few days ago? When I asked “Do you think I curse too much? Should I use less explicit language and topics?” someone answered:

“Yes, please. I actually stopped reading your posts because of the language and words. I don’t want to read those words and don’t enjoy seeing them.”

Well, I guess I asked, right?

I didn’t realize I was offending someone. That is never my intention. I write spontaneously as if I was talking. Do you want me to lie to you and pretend like I’m such a lady who doesn’t say any bad words in real life? That’s not me. I’m imperfect. I’m just a human being. I’m no lady, I’m even a sinner. But I’m honest, you see the real me and I don’t lie to my readers or sugarcoat things at all. I think everyone is entitled to stop reading if the content is offensive in any way but I would just like someone to be honest and tell me openly that they don’t like it, instead of using an anonymous survey. I would never do that to someone. I surely didn’t like to know something like this through a survey. Maybe, if they had said “yes, it’s a bit too much” I would be fine, but to know they have stopped reading? It makes me a little sad. What if more people feel the same? I ask all of you, please tell me. Are you bothered by my use of words such as “fuck”, “shit”, “bitch”, etc? Are going to stop reading anytime soon because of it? Do you think I talk about my private life too much? I mean, I do talk about epilation and gynaecologist appointments and whatever, but it’s my life. What can I do?

Anyway, I’m not sure I should change my ways because of a reader. Maybe not even because of 20 readers, if that were the case. This is my blog. Should I contain myself while writing on my personal blog? I don’t think so but maybe I’m wrong.

I’m sorry about the rant guys, you know I just talk about anything and everything.

Now, onto my to-do list: (Don’t expect anything too great)

  • I’m going to focus on the kitchen. I haven’t washed any dishes since about Thursday or Friday, so everything is a huge mess. So, in the kitchen I should:
    1. Wash the enormous pile of dishes; – Done;
    2. Clean the microwave, wash the microwave plate; – Nope;
    3. See what has spoiled in the fridge (and then slap me on the face because my goal for 2017 is not to waste food), clean the shelves, above the fridge, behind and under; – Took out a few spoiled foods (shame on me) but didn’t clean the fridge at all;
    4. Clean the shelves and everything that is on them because it gets dust; – Nope;
    5. Clean the coffee machines; – Nope;
    6. See if my bunch of watercress is still possible to save and make a soup; – Watercress = dead (super shame on me)
    7. Take out the trash; – Rui did;
    8. Clean the table; – Half done;
    9. Clean the counters; – Nope;
    10. Vacuum and mop the floor; – Nope;
    11. Make some jello; – Nope;
    12. Cook dinner; – Done;
    13. Maybe bake some cupcakes? I have a new decorating kit!! – Nope;
  • Second point of focus in laundry. It was raining so I’m a bit behind but today the weather is good; – Washed 3 loads, one is dry, two are drying;
  • I should also change my sheets; – Will do before bed. It takes 5 minutes;
  • I would like to plant some flower seeds and do some gardening but I’m not sure I’ll have the time because Rui is coming home at 4.30 and we’re going grocery shopping and to a gardening store because I want some more seeds and some rubber gardening gloves (better safe than sorry, right?); – Didn’t have time to do any gardening but found a cute pair of gloves, some garden scissors, 2 plants that need saving and a few more seeds.
Seeds: Summer flowers mix, Colorful flower mix, Deep pink carnations, Violets, Common Yarrow.
  • When it comes to blogging, today you can expect “The Perfect Party blogging series”, featuring Elsie.  (Done). It should have been up by noon but I didn’t have time to prepare it yesterday. I’m usually so organized and like to plan things ahead but, apparently, when it comes to blogging, I’m a bit more spontaneous and do things on the day they’re being published or the day before (very rare). So I’m sorry, but I’m going to publish it later. You can also expect my challenge posts from yesterday and today, which are the final ones! The month is over. (Will be publishing soon).

Now, about my Giveaway. There are only 5 hours left until it’s closed and I announce the winner. Here’s the link if you want to try your luck: a Rafflecopter giveaway

Perfect Party Series #1 – Cassi Turner

Lovely people,

As you know, I’m featuring all of my beautiful party-goers that made my 1000 followers blog party a SUCCESS!! The order is random. Cassi is first because she was the first to email me. That’s the order I’m going for. It keeps it random and fair.

So, about Cassi…

This lovely girl, wife and mom of two blogs over at Do you know her? Have you checked her blog? If you haven’t, now it’s the time to do it.

Before I tell you about her blog and my favorite posts, here’s the questions I’ve asked her:

Tell us about yourself.

I’m Cassi. I’m 24. I’m a wife, mother, and makeup enthusiast. I use my blog to convey my passion for makeup while de-stressing at the same time. My blog is my happy place. Let me show you my happiness.

What was your favorite thing about my party?

I loved being able to get creative. We had full control of how to describe what food we were eating or what we were wearing. That was awesome.

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Most definitely! The first day of your party was actually the first day I hit 100 views in one day! I’ve gained a lot of followers and have followed a lot of blogs too. It’s great!

Did you make any friends?

Of course! Almost everyone at your party was new to me, and now I’m friends with most of them! I’ve even nominated them for some awards and the Friends For Days Tag that you created! I love blog friends. They make the hard work easier. ❤️

As you can tell, she mostly blogs about beauty, throwing a bit of lifestyle into the mix. She is such a beautiful girl, as you can see by looking at her InstagramFacebook and Twitter. (Warning: You will find the cutest baby pictures!!) That’s not all she is, at all. She’s one of the nicest, sweetest people you will ever know. I’m really grateful I have met her, not long ago. She hasn’t been blogging for a long time, but you can find really interesting posts if you go through her blog.
One of my favorites is her Vanity Tour. You know I’m super nosy and love to look at other people’s houses (and lives in general, shame on me), but come on, how could I not love it. Isn’t it super cute and organized? Take a peak:
Just love how she stores her makeup brushes, the mugs are super cute. I also love that everything is divided into categories and kept into little baskets.
Another favorite, the one where she tells her about her Pamper Routine. We all need one and I love the idea of using lavender-scented products to help you sleep, taking a relaxing bubble bath before bed.
She is currently hosting a Giveaway to celebrate getting 100 followers!! How amazing is that? Do you remember what it felt like to get your first 100? I was over the moon. The giveaway ends on June 3rd, so you still have plenty of time to enter. All you have to do is follow her blog and comment, saying what you think she should do to celebrate when she hits 500 followers. Of course I said PARTY!!
Of course I need to mention her Introduction post. Besides being a mother of two cuties, she is also a surrogate mother, meaning she helps families who can’t have babies. Isn’t that the most beautiful and selfless thing? Using your own body to bring Joy to other people? I think she’s just an amazing person. And she’s 24 years old. Younger than me. What a strong woman. I definitely look up to her.
Since I’m doing a post like this for everyone who attended my party, I need to keep it kind of short and sweet. I would like to finish by showing you a few pictures of Cassi, so you can see how gorgeous she is. (I asked her permission, of course)

P.S. I’ve just realized that she has recently done my Tag!! You can find it Here. It’s perfect because, besides meeting Cassi, you can also check the blogs she recommends and make a bunch of new friends!

I hope you love her and her blog as much as I do.
