Perfect Party Series #19: Shweta Suresh

Today I’m featuring one of my best blogging friends. We’ve come a long way, as I’ve met her in my early days of blogging and we’ve been super supportive of each other ever since. She’s such a sweet, kind-hearted person and she’s a an amazing writer.

Her name is Shweta Suresh and she blogs over at My Random Ramblings.

Let’s begin by reading what she has to say about herself and her blog:

Shweta is a voracious reader who loves writing, sarcasm, binge-watching and baking. A chatterbox, Potterhead, dog lover, vegetarian and engineer by choice. Malayali, perfectionist, and terrible cook by default.

When she’s not writing, she can found doing any one of the following – with her nose buried deep in a book, dreaming about her favourite fictional characters, creating a new recording on Smule, thinking up new fun ideas for her blog, or singing along to whatever song that’s blaring through her headphones.

What else can I tell you about her?

  • She would invite the Obamas for dinner.
  • She loves baking
  • She loves animated movies
  • She loves cold weather
  • Her favorite fruit is orange
  • She can’t swim
  • She would love to visit Paris

Dearest Shweta, you know how much you mean to me. You’re such a good, loyal friend and I’m so happy I have met you. What an honor. Keep writing because you’re just so talented, it’s part of who you are. I hope you do like this post. We’ll talk soon.

Perfect Party Series #18: Life as easy as

Today I’m featuring a lovely girl, who blogs over at Life as easy as…. I do know her name because we have exchanged emails but, because she has never revealed it, I’ll keep it to myself. I’m sorry for that. I don’t know her age but I know she’s a teen and a very kind and nice girl. She loves lists, just like I do, and I love reading hers.

What else do we know about her?

  • She prefers flats over heels.
  • She likes pop music and her favorite band is Little Mix. (I think I’m getting old because I have never heard of it.

Now, let’s get to her answers to my party questions:

Tell us about yourself.

I am passionate about blogging although I may be a little disorganized at times. I have made many new friends during this experience. My blogging idols are Poppy Deyes and my best blogging friend Cheila! I am currently at secondary school and in February I have to pick my options for GCSE’s but I don’t even know what I’m going to choose?! I want to be a maths teacher but a blogger as well – I need help. Apart from blogging I love anything crafty and reading – I could read for hours! I hope one day this blog is something I’ll look back to and enjoy the experience I’ve had – I’m nearly at 100 followers: 9 more to go!!

What was your favorite thing about my party?

I loved meeting new bloggers and discovering new people to talk to and find!

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Yes, I did get more views and a few new followers over the past few days; the party did influence that I think!

Did you make any friends?

Yes! I made loads of new friends but I have become especially close to Amelia In Hull! She’s an amazing blogger and I’m so glad I met her through this blog party.

Dear friend,

It makes me so happy that you look up to me. I hope I’m a good role model (except for the occasional bad word, but I’m sure you hear those everywhere). I hope to inspire you to blog even more and to give it your best, since you love it so much. We’ll always be friends. I hope you like this post, my dear. Thank you so much for being so supportive.

Perfect Party Series #17: Gracie Chick

Today is finally Gracie’s day!! She has been expecting this, haven’t you love? It’s finally here so get excited because you’re about to read really nice and true things about yourself and your lovely blog.

We first need to start by reading Gracie in her own words. I think her about page is one of the best I’ve ever seen on a blog. She perfectly describes herself and her lifestyle. She’s a writer, indeed.

Hello there! My name is Gracie Chick and I am thirteen years old. This is my blog,  A Light In The Darkness.

I am just an ordinary girl, with big dreams and hopes for my life. Ever since I was a very small child, my parents have tried to teach me and my siblings to help others when we can, to challenge the way our modern society works, to make a difference and make a change, to be ourselves and be honest. Through the life we live, we hope to practice all these things.

My life is not normal, I travel a lot, in boats, vans, cars and numerous other vehicles. Me and my family try to go with our circumstances, I don’t belong to a certain religion, but I have faith in something bigger than me to guide me and help me. This way of life isn’t perfect, I struggle with it often.

believe that everyone has a way to help others and that mine is through my absolute passion: writing. Through words, I am able to express my honest feelings, to share my views on the world, to inspire others to think differently, to show that there is another way.

This blog is me trying to be ‘a light in the darkness’. I chose to call my blog that because often my Dad would tell me stories about the people who have shaped our world and how they are like lights guiding the people in the darkness to light and safety, just like a lighthouse.

There’s more and it is really good, so I encourage you to visit her About Page.

Next step, as usual, is sharing my favorite posts from her blog:

My Honest Struggles: An Inspiring Rant

Virtual Hugs All Round!

Chaos In The Classroom And Teaching Triumphs

Trust 💓

That Time When I Stood Up For What I Believed In

Something Inside So Strong…..

Into The Sunset: My Purpose In Life And My Dreams For The Future…

And I need you to focus on these in particular:

Gracie’s Guides To The World Around Us

Gracie’s Guide To The 2017 UK General Election Results

I mean, this girl is 13 and she talks about politics like a grown up. Better than a grown up. I don’t have half of the knowledge she shows about this matter. I don’t even really follow politics because they make me nervous. But this young teenager does, and she knows enough to give her own opinions and views. Please God, may my children be like this someday, award of the world around them and able to think with their own minds. She is full of light, no doubt.

Finally, it’s time for Gracie’s answers to my party questions:

Tell us about yourself.

Hello there! My name is Gracie Chick. If you decide to visit my blog, expect a challenging, honest and witty approach to the world and it’s people, problems and plans, all from the perspective of a determined and passionate teenage girl just trying to achieve her big hopes and dreams.

I love to connect with other bloggers who have similar ideas and ambitions as me, I enjoy meeting new people and having conversations and discussions. It is so inspiring and empowering to be a part of this diverse, supportive, colourful blogging community. If you know me, thank you for being a blogging friend! If you don’t, swing by my blog and introduce yourself!

What was your favorite thing about my party?

The sense that people from all over the world, perhaps thousands of miles apart, could sit and talk and get to know each other.

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Yes, I did. A few of people came over to A Light In The Darkness and said hi.

Did you make any friends?

Definitely! I must say that the conversation was brilliant, from explaining what a Victoria sponge cake was to discussing music genres, it was all so fun. I think that blogging parties are a perfect way to meet new friends and chat in a welcoming and inclusive environment. My posts are often quite serious and I have pretty philosophical and deep comment discussions with my readers, I enjoyed being able to go over to someone else’s blog and chill out, have some fun.

Sem Título

Dear Gracie,

You know how special you are, don’t you? You’re so honest and intelligent and well-read and well-informed. You’re not just another one in the crowd. You stand out for being so bright. You are a light in the darkness and a breath of fresh air. You will continue to be so especial and you’re going to do great things in this world, I am absolutely sure. I hope I can read you for many years to come, just to have the chance to look into your beautiful mind. I hope this posts does you justice, my dear. I tried my best, but are not something we can really describe in a few words. Thank you for being you.

A huge hug.

Perfect Party Series #16: Adila

Tonight I’m featuring dear Adila, owner of the blog

She blogs about anything and everything and there’s so many interesting posts to choose from. I admire her for her faith (she’s muslim and I’ve asked her so many questions about her faith because I love to know other cultures and religions and didn’t know much about Islam), her hand for diy and the fact the she will soon become a doctor. She’s humble and kind and supportive. She’s just so lovable. You need to meet her.

I’ve told you I admire her for her strong faith, so I hope you’re interested in reading a few posts about religion. The way she honors her faith is so inspiring.

Tell us about yourself.

I’m Adila Muhammed Karol. I’m from Manglore,India. I’m 20 years old. I dis all my schooling in Kuwait. Now, I am midway in my college on the way to be a doctor. I am very passionate about keeping things clean and organised, DIY art, painting ,reading, Arabic calligraphy ,public speaking, writing and my religion,Islam. I don’t blog about any particular topic. Instead, I write about my thoughts, how I do things and how I feel about some things.

What was your favorite thing about my party?

That was totally innovative idea. I had never seen anybody else host a blog party,Cheila. The best part was where bloggers described their outfits and went crazy speaking of what they loved to eat.❤️

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Of course, I did. I’m stunned by how my stats went so high. You are definitely doing a great job. You are helping out new bloggers find a stand. You are amazing.

Did you make any friends?

I made a few. I was busy with several other things so I could not take my sweet time and check out other blogs .I will do that once I am done with everything. but still, I made quite a few friends worth being friends with. Thank you.

Dear Adila,

I really hope you like this post. You’re such an inspiring person and I’ll be waiting for more amazing posts. Keep them coming, girl. I’m really happy to have met you. Thank you for reading my blog. xx

Perfect Party Series #15: thegeckoonline

I was a little reluctant to post this because, the thegeckoonline, who I’m featuring today, hasn’t blogged in a month, and I would like to make sure she is reading this. I wondered if I should do it when she comes back, but then I decided to post it today, hoping she’ll come back soon. Meet The Very Punny Blog.

Let’s start with her own introduction herself:

I try to think of myself as a funny person, pulling out those witty comments at opportune moments or making people laugh with a quick one liner, but rarely am I seen as such. Usually my jokes are rewarded with a slight disappointed shake of the head or if I’m lucky an actual response!! …Usually around the lines of, “that was horrible!”.

This is why I decided to dedicate an entire blog to my hilarious personality 😁. Here you might find a pun off that happened between friends, a funny or embarrassing moment from my day (or someone else’s) and if your lucky, a joke from yours truly that you can share with the world (because like all my jokes, it will OF COURSE be the funniest thing you have ever heard).

Sometimes you might also find a sad topic that I thought I should share or an important moment from my anonymous life 🙂.

What do we know about her?

  • The Harry Potter series is one of her favorites when it comes to books;
  • She loves blogging;
  • She loves ice cream;
  • She loves meeting new bloggers;
  • She loves positive comments on her blog;
  • Her favorite color is purple;
  • She has a sweet tooth;
  • Her favorite season is Winter;
  • She can play the piano;
  • She would like to visit Japan;
  • She loves to read;

We don’t know that much because she is anonymous and very discreet. We obviously don’t mind and love her and her blog anyway. She’s really funny and punny.

I’m very happy to see that she has recently done my tag, it’s actually the last thing she posted. I’m always happy when I some my tag on someone’s blog.

Friends For Days Tag

She just has so many interesting posts!

I love this “Random Acts of Kindness Series”:

Random Acts Of Kindness

Random Acts Of Kindness – Day 1

Random Acts Of Kindness – Day 2

Random Acts Of Kindness – Day 3

The Random Acts Of Kindness Foundation

Another nice posts worth mentioning:

The Kissing Emoji

Wardrobe Weather

Clothes Shopping

Awkward Situations

Accidental Following

Finally, her answers to my party questions:

Tell us about yourself:

I am an anonymous, self anointed pun extraordinaire who blogs over on Very Punny. I try to make my posts lighthearted and a bit humorous as well.

What was your favorite thing about my party?

How fun and happy everything was, with the talk of food and clothes. The others were also all very kind and fun to talk to. Finding new blogs was a highlight!

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

I did, my best day of views in probably two weeks, and a few more followers as well. That was very exciting 🙂

Did you make any friends?

Yeah (well, I think so 😉),  many people at the party were new to me and now I’ve nominated some of them for awards and I count them as blogging friends 🙂

Don’t forget to go over her blog and read this amazing articles and give her a follow.

P.S I’m taking a risk in assuming that this blogger is a girl, as there’s no place where she/he states that. Please let me be right and not super embarrassed!

I do hope you like this post 🙂

Perfect Party Series #14 – Nina

It’s time to feature my dear friend and fellow Portuguese girl, Nina.

Her blog is and she is just awesome.

She has the cutest header image:

Kitty + tea = Kittea

I’m guessing she loves her tea. And cats. She lives in a small town in Germany and loves to find fellow German bloggers. I imagine she loves to find fellow Portuguese bloggers as well? I know I do. She is very cute but taken, sorry about that. Her boyfriend lives in Switzerland. She is very tall at 1,78 cm. She’s 20 cm taller than poor me. Wow girl! You’re almost the same height as Giselle Bündchen, you could totally be a model 🙂 She says she’s in her late twenties, although she looks about 21. I’ll try to guess her age: 28?

She’s a very calm person (maybe because of the tea) and she is an only child. She loves to draw and game and Stranger Things. She’s not kidding when it comes to exercising and eating healthy. She works out 3-4 times a week and is pays close attention to what she eats. I guess I could learn from her.

It’s now time for my favorite posts of hers:

She has recently done “The Lottery Tag” created by dearest Natalie and, of course, I was curious to know what she would do with the money.

The Lottery Tag

She has started doing weekly recaps and I love those. I love any kind of personal post, actually but I’m addicted to know what other people are up to. Should I seek help?

Weekly Recap #1

Weekly Recap #2

She has just reached 100 followers!! Yay!! Congratulations Nina. That’s a such a big accomplishment. Many more will come, for sure.

Another favorite: 25 Random Facts About Me (That’s where I took some information about her from, actually). I just love to get to know other bloggers better.

10 Tips For Dealing With a Bad Day – Don’t we all need help with those? I know I do.

Stationary Haul – I love hauls. I love stationary. Do I need to say more?

It is now time for her answers to my party questions:

I live in a small town near Heidelberg, Germany and mostly blog about DIYs, travel, recipes and personal stuff. As you can tell by my blog name, two things that I really love are cats and tea! I’m a very calm person, so you’d rather find me in the garden reading a book than somewhere in the middle of a noisy city crowd.
My favorite thing about your blog party was the idea that you made us imagine really being there – and that everybody just went with it! Every answer was unique and it was so much fun reading through all the comments. I also gained new followers and found couple of interesting blogs to follow myself 🙂

Dear Nina,

I do hope you like this post. It was so great to write about you and to go through your blog choosing my favorite posts.

You need to tell me when you’re coming to Portugal so we can have some tea together 🙂

Lots of love…

e beijinhos.

I blog about my lifestyle, my travels, my ideas and thoughts, but also about adventures I have experienced!

What was your favorite thing about my party?

My favorite thing about the party was the food, haha! Jokes aside, I think Blogging Parties are great for getting to know more people, but also for finding new blogs to love! It was so much fun to talk to other bloggers I didn’t know at that time and to check out their blogs.
I had never participated in such a party before, but I really want to try and join future Blogging events!

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

I got more views on my blog because of the Blogging Party! My blog is growing slowly and I don’t care that much about the views, but I got some amazing bloggers to join my reading community which makes me very happy.

She’s one of the sweetest girls I know and she takes the most amazing photos. Do you know her? Go over to her blog. There’s so many interesting posts, I’m sure you will love them.

Dear Friederike,

You’re such a nice, smart and positive girl. You’re also an amazing writer. I’m really glad I have met you and that I have the chance to follow your blog.

I really hope you like this article ❤

Thank you for coming to my party!! 🙂

Perfect Party Series #12: Amelia

Today I bring you Amelia from Amelia in Hull. I need to start by saying how much I love her name. You know I have a thing for names and when I read that she is Amelia Grace I went “awww, I love it”. It’s a beautiful combination of names.

I must admit I don’t know Amelia that well, but I hope we have the chance to talk more.

I know she’s a loyal reader and that she often comments on my posts and that makes me really happy.

I don’t know how old Amelia is, but she’s a teen. (will you tell us your age?)

She blogs about her city, Hull, which is City of Culture 2017.

Tell us about yourself:

Hi my name is Amelia Grace and I blog over at Amelia in Hull. I blog all about life in Hull and events that are going on there since Hull is City of Culture this year.

What was your favorite thing about my party?

My favorite thing about the party was that I got to meet lots of new bloggers that I hadn’t come across before and get to know them better.

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

Yeah I got quite a few more views on my blog because of the party and I got about 4 or 5 more followers!!

Did you make any friends?

Yeah!! I made lots more blogging friends because of the party.

Dear Amelia,

Thank you so much for coming to my party. You helped make it so fun 🙂 You’re a very loyal reader and you always comment on my posts and I thank you for that. I wish we would get to know each other a little better, so I hope we can talk more.

I hope you like this post ❤

Perfect Party Series #11: Anni

Today I’m featuring dear Ann-Kathrin or Anni, as everyone likes to call her. Her blog is Gluecksgeist and I bet you know her. She’s one of my favorite bloggers and a fellow pink lover, so I’m really happy to be giving her shout-out today.

Anni is 19 years old and she’s from Germany. She’s been blogging for over a year and she mostly writes about DIY’s and recipes and boy, is she good at it.

She has recently bought two cacti and I’m jealous as I’ve been meaning to get a few. Their so popular right now, especially the little ones and I see them everywhere so I’ve been getting cactus fever.

Anni has been going through the same, what she calls a cactus obsession, which has resulted in so many cute posts:

I mean, she’s obsessed with cacti and I’m obsessed with her blog and the beautiful things she makes. When she gets into baking, my major sweet tooth just drools uncontrollably.

Lord help my waistline. And my scale, she might cute. Can you understand why I love her blog so much? The amount of pink and creativity and deliciousness is just adorable and the cuteness overload is just too much.

A few of my favorite posts:

How To Spice Up Your Summer Drinks – She doesn’t mean booze, you guys…

Pink Obsessed Since 1997 – I mean, I guess I win because I’ve been pink obsessed since 1991. Also, aren’t people who were born in 1997 still toddlers? I’m so old.

The Moment When You Realize That You Deleted Nearly All Of Your Blog Pictures – It’s not actually funny, I’ve done the exact same mistake. But I happy that I’m not alone in my clumsiness and proud that she is so much like me 🙂

Spring Haul – You do know how nosy I am and how much I love to stuff my nose into people’s shopping bags and carts, and homes, and routines, and everything…

I guess now it’s time to her answers to my party questions:

Tell us about yourself:

My name is Ann-Kathrin and I started as annkathriin2015, such an original name. 2015 was the year I decided to start my blog and in November I published my first blog post. I am blogging for quiet a while now. I loved blogging from the first day although nobody read my posts for a year. That’s why I am so happy that so many people are reading my posts now. I upload quiet a few baking posts. Baking became a huge hobby for me when I was about 14 years old, I think. I also always loved crafting things with my mum. She is so creative and I am so proud that she gave a little snippet of her creativity to me.

What was your favorite thing about my party?

My favorite thing about your party was that so many people got to know each other. They started by talking about what they wear to your party or mostly about chocolate cake and then shared blog posts and more about themselves. I think your party is such an amazing way to get to know so many amazing bloggers who share the same hobby as you.

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

I did get a few new followers, but I didn’t see them on the party so maybe they were just quiet party-attenders?

Did you make any friends?

I didn’t make new friends because I knew quiet a few people! I was so happy about that. When I started blogging I knew nobody and seeing so many known names and faces now makes me so happy.

Dear Anni,

I wish I could be as creative as you are. You’re such an inspiration. You make me want to bake and get into diy, even though I’m not even close to being good. I love how sweet you are and how colorful… in shades of pink…your blog is. Thank you for always being so sweet and supportive. Keep rocking your blog and your awesome projects.

So much love ❤

If you don’t know any and her blog, you are definitely missing out.

Thank you for reading!

Perfect Party Series #10: Cherylene

Today I bring you one of my favorite people, my dear friend Cherylene.

She blogs at

She’s one of the nicest, warmest, most supportive bloggers I know and we’ve been supporting each other and our blogs for a few months now. She’s such a loyal reader and friend and I’m so grateful I’ve met her. She always has an encouraging word or piece of advice for me and there’s always a thoughtful, loving comment from her. She reads what I write and she really sees me and I love her for that.

She was also the winner of my Giveaway, which made me really happy!!

She’s a boy mom, a strong woman and an amazing writer.

Here’s how she describes herself:

I have recently discovered that writing gives me a sense of joy and satisfaction that I never got doing anything else.  It is a great way for me to share my thoughts on various issues and topics that I feel compelled to write about.

I am a woman who has refused to let the negativity in my life and the world at large hold me back from pursuing my dreams.

My hope and dream is to be an inspiration and motivator for others.   I want my writing to reach far and wide helping others all over the world.

If you are searching for inspiration, motivation or direction I hope that you can find some here.  Be prepared to dig deep because true happiness and peace of mind comes from within.

Cherylene writes about a few different topics. I’m a fan of all of them. Here I share a few of them but there are many more. Please go over to her blog, read through her work and give her a well-deserved follow.

There are inspiring short stories:

What Is True Wealth?

Find And Develop Your Own Talents

The Benjamins and The Hopefuls

Her beautiful poetry: (a few favorites)

A Mother’s Love

There’s a category she calls “Thinking Out Loud”, where you can find a variety of useful, insightful, motivational and uplifting articles.

Thinking Out Loud

She writes about “Mind, Body and Spirit” and these are my favorite articles in this category:

This is getting too long, maybe, but I need to mention her weekly Health and Wellness posts, part of her “Health and Wellness Fridays” series. There are some really interesting articles about a different food, spice, herb or plant every Friday. Cherylene does amazing research work and the articles are so well-written and informative. One of my favorite things to read every week.

Lastly, I want to call your attention for her “What’s Up Wednesdays” posts, that she has recently started doing. I love it because they’re more personal and we get to have a peek at her week and at her daily life and what she’s up to.

To finish, I’m sharing her answers to my  Perfect Party Series questions:

What was your favorite thing about my party?

My favorite things about the party was the food and the people in that order.

Did you get any new followers or views because of the party?

To be honest I have gotten about 6 new followers this week but I don’t recognize them as anyone you highlighted from the party.  I did follow and view some new blogs because of the party.  Thank you for that. 🙂

Did you make any friends?

It’s a bit early to call anyone I met a “friend” just yet.  I did meet a few interesting people though. Time will tell where those interactions will go. 🙂

I know this post is not enough to show everyone how awesome you are, but they’ll realize I’m right once they go over to your lovely blog and read your wonderful work. Thank you so much for always reading my posts and for always taking the time to comment. You’re very encouraging and you inspire me with how positive and confident you are. I’m really happy I’ve met you. The blogging world wouldn’t be the same for me without you.

Sending lots of love.

P.S. I’ve just realized both our names start with “Che” and that made me smile ❤
