Happy Easter Everyone!!
If you celebrate this holiday, I hope you have a wonderful day. If you don’t, I hope you still have access to endless amounts of chocolate!
Today I’m asking about Easter.
- Do you celebrate Easter?
- Did you give something up for Lent?
- Where and how do you spend Easter Sunday?
- What are your traditions? Your family’s?
- What’s your favorite thing about Easter?
That’s it. Have a beautiful day, everyone!
xx
Happy Easter to you & your family.

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
Yes. I have written Eastermass posts all week.
2. Did you give something up for Lent?
No. But I observed lent by writing daily prompts to raise awareness of dementia. Last year I wrote prompts about homelessness.
3. Where and how do you spend Easter Sunday?
Easter is great because 4 days. Often that means I get a couple of days at my home in Sheffield and a couple of days at my other home with parents. I was in Berlin for Easter two years ago. But this Easter I spent Good Friday and Saturday in Sheffield. Then this morning got the train to Scunthorpe to get to parents.
4. What are your traditions? Your family’s?
Fish on Good Friday.
Hot cross buns.
Last year, I made Simnel Cake. Yesterday I made Simnel buns and Rocky Road, I published a post about that yesterday.
Sunday have a Sunday roast; looking forward to that later 🙂
In UK football matches are played on Good Friday and Easter Monday. I will therefore often get to go to a match over Easter weekend. I’m watching Scunthorpe at home tomorrow.
5. What’s your favorite thing about Easter?
Four days off and getting to spend time in both of my homes including family time. Sunday roast and football are plus points. I’m hoping my Mum has bought me chocolate but, if she has I do not know where she has hidden it. Hopefully she will have some, somewhere that she will get out when my siblings arrive.
My Easter has not involved church for a long time. But I’am Godmother to my nephew and niece so, last Sunday on Palm Sunday, I did refresh my memory of Palm Sunday and write a post about that.

My mom still does an Easter egg hunt after church each year! This year will be spent in the car driving home from Nashville.

Must admit that as I’m not religious Easter isn’t really something I celebrate. I like to take a moment to be grateful and to think of the blessings in my life, and to reach out to loved ones to let them know how much they mean to be. But other than that, it’s not a thing that’s really celebrated in our house. Chocolate, however, always has a place in my home 🙂
Have a lovely long weekend, Chey x

I don’t really celebrate Easter. When I was younger and I went to church with my family I did, but now I treat it just as a mini holiday 😀

Happy Easter 🤗🌸🐣 I do celebrate, but this year (with scheduling) I couldn’t spend it with family. So today I did some spring cleaning and made lemon bars & Funfetti cupcakes!

Hope you had a lovely Easter!! Here are my answers to the questions:
1. Yes I do 😊
2. No not this year.
3. I went to church for the morning and evening services which was lovely.
4. My mum makes Hot cross buns on Good Friday. We have an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday 😊
5. It’s the day that I, along with all other Christians, believe that Jesus rose from the dead and beat death and sin which is an amazing thing which we want to celebrate.

I do celebrate Easter. I’m not Catholic but I decided to give up anime for lent cause I knew I wouldn’t struggle that much cause I was already taking a break so I could read more. My family doesn’t necessarily have a tradition apart from going to church and having a meal together which we did this year. And I believe Easter is the time when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how all our sins were forgiven. Hope you had a Happy Easter! 🤗
