Dear new followers,

I’d love to meet you all, but that’s impossible because I have no time.

When I had about 100 followers, I would check everyone’s blogs and make sure I followed them back. Very soon, I learned I can’t follow everyone back without going crazy or becoming a blogging slave.

So now, at 1750 followers, I need you to reach out to me, if you want to be friends, which I would love to. This is a great community and you’ll meet amazing people through blogging, if you put in the effort of actually trying to get to know them.

With that said, I would be extremely happy if some of my new followers would introduce themselves, leave a link to their blog or favorite posts and just chat a little.

A long time ago, I prepared some questions for my readers. You’re welcome to answer them if you like or you could just leave a little comment.

  2. I may not be a new follower, but I loved this idea so I thought I would kick it off just for fun!

    What is your first name?
    Beatriz but I prefer to be called Bea

    Do you have a middle name?
    Yes I do, it’s my moms maiden name which is Lopes.

    Can you tell me your age and birthday?
    My age 23 and my birthday is January 30th.

    Where in the world are you?
    I’m in America!

    What is your maternal language? What language do you speak at home? Do you speak any other languages?
    My first language is Portuguese because my parents didn’t know English when they had me and then I quickly learned English in school. I can also speak Spanish however I am not entirely great at it and I can speak Italian after taking it for four years in high school but again… I haven’t practiced so I’m probably awful. I’ve picked up a few Polish words but I for sure am not fluent!

    Are you married? If so, how many years? Did you have a big wedding?
    I am not married!

    Are you single? Do you have a boyfriend? if so, how many years have you been together?
    I am in a relationship with my boyfriend for over a year and a half now! We will make two years in December! This is my longest relationship ever…basically my only real relationship!

    Are you a mom or dad? How many babes do you have? Can you tell me their first names or nicknames and ages?
    I am a mom to my puppy Riley no real children though!

    What do you do for a living?
    I am a substitute teacher and hopefully soon to be full time teacher!

    What did you study in University? Did you attend?
    I am currently studying Mathematics with a certificate in teaching.

    What’s your favorite book?
    I love the Girl Online series by Zoe Sugg

    What’s your favorite movie?
    I don’t have one but I love the Home Alone movies, the marvel movies such as Iron Man, Captain America, I love spy movies, I have a lot of movies that I enjoy actually.

    What is your favorite band or artist?
    Hmmmm, I hate picking favorites. I’ll go with Ed Sheeran!

    What is your favorite food?
    PIZZZZAA! And anything chocolate.

    Do you have any hobbies?
    I consider blogging my hobby and working out.

    What sports/activities do you practice?
    I played Tennis my senior year of high school!

    Do you have any pets? Can you tell me their names?
    Yes, a pomeranian named Riley.

    Why do you blog?
    Because I love to express myself and I am in love with this community that has made me feel so a part of something great.

    What do you love about blogging? Is there something you don’t like?
    The people. All of you. I don’t like spam comments that just say “come over to my blog.”

    Where in the world are you? In India( in the Mangalore city)

    What is your maternal language? What language do you speak at home? Do you speak any other languages? My maternal language os Malayalam. That is also what I speak at home. English, Arabic and little bit of French:)

    • Hey there, Adila!! I love that you will soon be a doctor. Just taking the courses must be so much fun. I love badminton too but I haven’t played in years and I’m not very good anyway. Is it normal to know Arabic where you live in India?

      • The course is fun..but it requires a lot of hardwork..like literally burn the midnight oil and study:/.. but hopefully it will all be worth in the end.
        Me too..I haven’t played badminton for quite some time now. I need to soon after my exams and stuff.
        No..it isn’t normal. I know it because I lived my entire life(upto 18 years) in Kuwait( a country in the Middle East). Dad had his business there and so I did all my schooling there. So I’m used to being with Arab people and that’s how I learnt it. ☺️Aw! I miss my Kuwait life!

          • Yeah!😅 it’s like a challenge..most of the time..I need to plan everything, make sure my records and stuffs are on time, keep reading even when exams aren’t coming, less vacations, very few days at home( I stay in hostel- because my university is far from my hometown)..:/ sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming!
            But there’s so much we learn here, how everything works, everyday we are reminded of our greatest blessing of being healthy and it is so much comforting to see people getting better each day! Grateful😇

    Middle name, nope because my parents couldn’t agree, so I’m the only one in the whole family without one!

    I’m 33, where the heck did time go!

    I’m in the Uk!

    My mother tongue is Danish, but living in the Uk I mainly use English. But only Danish with my son… confusing for him!

    I’m married, but rubbish at dates, you will have to ask the husband who never. Forgets!

    I’m a mum! And 37 weeks pregnant so will soon be a mum for the second time!

    I’m a trainer!

    I blog because I love to share my food and my recipes and to express myself. It’s a lovely way to share something with other people

    I love blogging because I get a chance to see what other people say.

    Not sure yet that there is something i don’t like about it.

    • We don’t care that you are new at all. We were all new once. There are so many nice people here. I will, for sure, check your blog. Awww, you’re going to be a mamma again very soon. Boy or girl, if you don’t mind my asking. When are you due? I love pregnant ladies and babies too.

      • I’m due on 10 of August, but got a strong feeling this baby will be here much sooner. It’s another boy.
        Thank you for having a look at my blog, I just found out that I can log out and look at it from an outsiders point of view and I realised it’s rather messy..

        I love babies, but I’m rather moody as pregnant! Lol.

        Mainly due to being sick since week 6 xx

        • I see… some pregnancies are first trimester all the way when it comes to feeling sick and third trimester in terms of discomfort. I hope he comes when he’s good and ready. Do you have a name for baby boy number 2?

    First and middle names: Kristyn Joy
    Age & birthday: I am 37 and will turn 28 on September 25th.
    I am in California.
    Sadly, the only language I speak is English.
    I’ve been happily married for 11 years.
    I am a mom of 2 crazy boys, a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old.
    I majored in liberal studies and got my teaching credential at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. This will be my 16th year of teaching upper elementary school.
    I am awful at picking favorites, so no favorite books, movies, musicians, or foods.
    I am way too clumsy for sports, but I do love running.
    We don’t have any pets right now, but our first kid was a big goofy coonhound named Jackson.
    I blog because it gives me a chance to write and to dwell on one of my favorite things, which is traveling. The thing I do not love about blogging is that I don’t have as much time as I would like spend on it.

    • Dear Kristyn, you have no idea how much I love Joy as a middle name!! It’s just so positive and beautiful, definitely one of my favorites. So you’re a boy mom. 6 and 3, wow, you have your hands full for sure!! What do you guys consider upper elementary school in terms of grades? for us in Portugal, elementary school is from 1st grade to 4th grade, then you have middle school. 5-9 and then high school from 10-12. It’s so nice to know how this things work all over the world. I understand what you mean about blogging. It is time consuming and we always want to do a little more.       • No pardoning needed–I love your long answer! 🙂 I always tease my mom that she chose my middle name to express her feelings in getting me out of her belly. But I do love my middle name, a good reminder of the outlook I should always have. What is your middle name??

        For us, elementary is kindergarten through 5th grade, middle school is 6th through 8th, and high school is 9th through 12th. I think k-2 is usually considered primary and 3-5 is considered upper elementary (at least that is how I have always considered it). I agree it is so interesting to see the similarities and differences of education (and well any institution) around the world.

        And the boys definitely keep us on our toes. Both of them are very energetic and very strong-willed. But so sweet and loving. I am excited that my 6 year old will be at my school this year, so we can ride together and I can keep one eye on him! The little guy is heading to preschool this year and I am praying it helps him learn to reign in his energy a bit.

        (How is that for a long answer??!! 🙂 )

        • It’s a perfect answer!! My middle name is Belinda. Way longer than yours. I think your son might calm down a little by going to school. We will learn some discipline (by being in a room and doing what he’s told for a few hours) and he’ll spend tonnes of energy playing with his buddies. You’ll spend the day at the same day! You can surprise him with little lunch dates and all 🙂

            I agree that the structure will help. He needs people other than us telling him no and keeping him accountable. Plus I know it will be a sweet time for him, as the teachers at his preschool are so loving and nurturing. And lunch treats will be fun for my 1st grader. We are both excited to share a school. ❤️

    • My body is a slow learner, but I kept at martial arts until I grew too old to recover from minor injuries in a reasonable time. Now most of my exercise is swimming, weight lifting, and walking. Good luck with the kids; I just spent a week with my brother and his three little crazies.

    Why do you blog? – it’s a way of expressing myself and it helps me keep my mind busy. It also allows me to share my opinions on things I love!

    What do you love about blogging? Is there something you don’t like? – the chance of just writing down whatever I’m thinking. I like the feeling it gives me. What I don’t like is when I don’t know what to write next, it’s so stressful.

  13. Hi, I’m Nickie, I turn sixteen in November and I live in Dallas, Tx. I speak english only but both ny parents are fluent in english/spanish. I’m single which is probably not surprising I am fifteen. I go to high school I graduate in 2019, and then I plan on going to tcu for college and become a sports psychologist. My favorite book is harry potter. I do not have a favorite movie. I don’t have a favorite artist, but i’ve been really into Miley Cirus’s new songs lately. My favorite foods are mac and cheese sushi and ice cream. Blogging, photography, and reading are my hobbies. I have been figure skating competitively since I was 7. I have a mixed dog (not sure what she is) her name is ella shes still a puppy, and is one of the most energetic dogs I’ve ever seen. It is 2:49 pm right now. I blog because I do like writing, but I hate what we have to write about in school. I think the whole community is really cool too, and I love seeing what other people write about. What I love about blogging is the freedom I have. I can write about anything I want and share it with other people, which is something high school doesn’t really allow for. Your blog is so amazing and this was a lot of fun to do.

They are super energetic when they’re puppies and then they calm down a little. Rosa used to be very difficult and always on the move and now she really enjoys naps. 🙂

  14. Hi my name is Nicole and I live in the UK. I speak Russian and English. My favourite book is probably Good Night Mr Tom. I love this book because i generally think it’s for all ages. I don’t really have a favourite movie. My favourite food is definitely sushi. I love it so much! I have a cat called Scarlette. So I started my blog about 5 months ago but kinda forgot about it but then about a week I decided to start it properly. So far I’m really enjoying it.   15. Hi Cheila, I have loved reading all of these comments, and Im going to be naughty and do this. Im not a new follower however I think this is a fun post and it helps you and your followers learn a bit about each other.
    My first name is Berice – its Italian but most people call me Bree.
    My middle name is Delwyn – you know growing up I hated my first name and hated my middle name even more. Now that I am an adult I actually love them both as they are different. A bit like me 🙂 My middle name is from my godmother – her name is Delys Olwyn. Yes, I am the 4th child and by then I think my parents became a bit hippy. Muriel the eldest her middle name is my mums name Isabelle. Gavin my brother , his middle name is George after Dad. Paula is Marie.
    3. Birthdate is 24/2……. Yes I am one of the older bloggers and probably old enough to be mother or grand mother to you all . 🙂
    4. I live in Australia, in the state of Victoria in a lovely little coastal town called Rosebud. Its about an hour from Melbourne by car.
    5. English – or Aussie slang – throw a snag on the bbq – put some sausages on the bbq. Blue – for someone with red hair. Mum – Mom – arvo – afternoon, Telly – Television, hooroo – hello and goodbye, just to name a few . I never learnt any languages, but I have a smattering of French and Italian. Hopefully before I head to Spain and Portugal next year I will have a smattering of them too 🙂
    6. Was married – for 14 years. Yes for Aussie standards it was big about 120 guests, I had 2 bridesmaids.
    7. Im what they call divorced. Have had a couple of long term relationships since I left my husband, but not in a relationship at the moment.
    8. Yes I am a mum to 2 beautiful girls. Sarah – is the eldest – she is born on your birthdate she is 38- her nickname is Sarah Sausage and Jennifer – she is 35 – her nickname is Dicko. thats from our last name Dixon.
    9. I am now on a disability pension due to the several chronic illness’s I have. I used to be a debt collector/accounts manager, very stressful job.
    10. I studied at TAFE, which is a cheaper form of University, I studied Economics, Govt . I also trained as Massage Therapist but had to stop that due to the Rheumatoid Arthritis.
    11. My favorite book. – Belly Dancing for Beginners. by Liz Byrski… A West Australian Author – I even went and learnt to do Belly Dancing and was in a concert.
    12. My favorite movie – so many – I love rom coms, mystery thrillers. Anything but horror.
    13. Fav Band – U2, The Beatles, Anything Australian
    14. Love Food – Pork Belly, Indian, French food, Italian, – anything chocolate .
    15. Blogging is my new hobby, when I get back from France I hope to get on with my book/novel.
    16. I do thai Chi – However, when I wasn’t sick I played all sorts of sports. When my girls were little I played Basketball 6 times a week.
    17. I have 2 dogs, Sally who is 3 and Betty who is 1. So having a puppy in the house is a lot of work. They are gorgeous though and great companions.

    19. I blogged initially for our trip last year, but now I love communicating with other bloggers and reading what they have to say about life etc. Its like having friends over for a cuppa, your just in your country and Im in mine.
    20. I love everything about blogging. I am learning so much and making so many wonderful friends. There are so many talented people in the blogging community. Cooks, writers, photographers etc. I wish I had more hours in the day to blog.

    Why do you blog? It sharpens my mind and doing a humorous blog helps with my depression.
    What do you love about blogging? Is there something you don’t like? I love meeting people who share common interests. Living in a tiny town, it is hard to find people as crazy as I am. I have been very successful in finding them here. hahaha!

    Where in the world are you? Iowa
    What is your maternal language? English

    Do you speak any other languages? I’ve taken German and Chinese lessons and use a Vietnamese language learning program, but I’m not fluent in any of them.

    Are you married? I’m divorced, no kids. Small wedding.

    What do you do for a living? I’ve been using ESL teaching as an excuse to travel.

    What did you study in University? I have a BA in history and MA in creative writing.

    What’s your favorite book? The more books I read the harder that question becomes.

    What is your favorite band or artist? Rush’s “Roll the Bones” album is the closest any musical group has come to expressing my own out look on life.

    Do you have any hobbies? Reading, writing, lifting weights.

  18. Hey, I’m anna and I’m half Japanese and half russian, still in grade 10 writing blogs about my life 🙂 I play volleyball competitively, and it’s been giving me injuries haha. How are you?
