One Month Blogging Challenge – Day 6 (5 things I can’t live without)

Hello everyone,

I’m super late for this, I know!! It’s almost May 7th here.

I was out all day.

So, today’s topic is:

5 things I can’t live without

Don’t forget that I’m doing this challenge with my dear friends Maggie and Angela. What can’t they live without? Go over to their blogs and check it out!

What about me? What can’t I live without?

To make this more interesting, let us forget the obvious answers: Family, friends, oxygen, water, food, hot water, a roof over my head, electricity, my phone, etc

Not thinking about the ones I love and basic necessities (I know my phone is not a basic necessity but I need it to be able to communicate with people, and for work. Am I cheating? Totally.), I can’t live without:

  • Hair bands
  • A notebook
  • A pen
  • Books
  • Cute and comfortable pajamas

What do you think about it?

Do we share any essentials?

xx

Cheila

  1. Oh my goodness, why didn’t I think to put hair ties??!!?? That is absolutely something I can’t live without. My hair is always up in a ponytail or bun, haha! Great list, Cheila!

    • Mine too. If I’m home, I have my hair up. If it’s too hot, I have my hair up. Windy? Hair up!! Hair ties are an essential. I think I though about it because I was thinking about writing the post while putting my hair in a pony. And then I thought “This is definitely an essential!!!!” haha Thank you, dear!!

    • Yes, my laptop has become a necessity for sure. For working, blogging, studying, communicating, learning, watching movies and TV shows. I haven’t owned a bible in many years. I have a small book of psalms and I would like to start reading it, they are my favorite part of the bible. I have faith and I do pray, but I don’t go to church or read the bible. Not a very good catholic if you judge me by the churches standards but I always think that God won’t judge me as long as I have faith, pray and treat people with love and kindness.

      • Yes, the Psalms is beautiful! You should start reading it and hey, if you ever start reading the Bible, you won’t have to buy one because you have your laptop to look up verses etc. No judging on my part at all because as Jesus said, ‘Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.’ To judge will make me a hypocrite.

  2. I like that you didn’t include the obvious. Way to think outside the box! And oh my yes, hair ties. I lost the only one I had on me when I was out once, and I nearly lost my mind.

    • I did mention the obvious lol but I wanted to think of other things that I need to live but are not what I would immediately say when asked. I’ve spent many years wondering where hair ties and bobby pins go. Maybe to a parallel universe? I buy packs of 50 or 60 at Primark or H&M and then, 3 months later, I’m done to just the one, that I cannot lose hahaha It seems we share this problem.

      • You did include the obvious, but included the non obvious as well 😀
Hair ties and bobby pins are just so small and easy to lose 😦
I also never return them in the same place, so I find a few in random places. Under the bed, in the bed, in the couch, in the sink…once in the shower which was weird.

    • Yes we do!! I can live without them in Summer, sleeping in a large, old t-shirt. But for colder months, I cannot live without comfy, warm pj’s. I put some on and my hair on a ponytail and I’m in cozy heaven 🙂

  3. Definitely agree with the Pyjamas, I think I actually own more pyjamas than normal clothes!

  4. Great list! I definitely have to agree with you on hair ties and pj’s! I’d probably add hand cream, sweaters and blankets to make five. Grace Xx

  5. Interesting essentials, I would definitely have to add my computer. Hair bands are so much apart of my everyday life and yet I would have definitely missed them had you not highlighted them. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  6. Yep hair bands are 100% essential, although I don’t wear it up for as long of periods of time when my hair gets to the length it is now. I only cut it once a year, usually in April but haven’t yet so it gets heavy when it’s up too long. Love a good pair of comfy pj’s lol

  7. I cut my own hair and I cut my ends every two months or so. They get super dry if I don’t take good care of them. Comfy pj’s for life 🙂

  8. Hair bands, a book, and comfy pj’s are very important 🙂 My favorite pj’s are my boyfriends shirt and shorts my grandma made me!

    • I live in a country cottage so I don’t have air conditioning. The walls are too thick anything, it’s never hot in the Summer, it’s actually very comfortable. It’s cold in winter but we have a fireplace and space heaters. I hate the heat as well, I feel like I’m melting and sweating myself away lol

  9. ! When we start avoiding eating them in front of your husband and stashing them under the bed, then I will worry.
