Sunshine Blogger Award #3, #4, #5 #6, #7… no more!

I have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award not once, but FIVE times. Having done it already twice, this will be the last time I will do it. I mean, if you nominate me, I will thank you and mention it in a post, but I won’t do the actual Award!

Questions by Sophie and Georgia:

Who is your hero? – My mother is my hero. She raised me and my sister by herself, with little to no help and she managed to do a very good job. All mothers in general, actually. I have a thing for mothers and I’m very protective of them. Being a mom is hard and people should give them more credit for what they do.

Have you been stung by a bee/wasp? – I have. A long time ago. I remember I was in grade 7, P.E class and my teacher was pregnant lol 

Are you still learning who you are? – I am and I always will be. In my opinion, you don’t just discover yourself. It’s a lifelong learning process. I know myself better now than I did when I was sixteen and I think I will know me even better by 35, 50, etc…

What is your favorite (or cheesiest) knock knock joke? – Oh, I wish I could remember one. I’m so sorry, my memory has given up on me.

What is the worst injury you’ve ever had? – A second degree burn on my wrist from a very hot pot, coming from the oven while I was making bread. Also, I had a car accident in December and hit my head pretty hard, didn’t break anything but my head and the rest of my body hurt pretty bad for about a week.

What is the best compliment you’ve ever received? – People usually tell me I’m very intelligent and entrepreneurial. 

What was the last picture you took on your phone? Can you show us? – Pink flower, just posted it on Instagram (15.04.2017)

What is on your perfect pizza? – Green peppers, red peppers, mushrooms and sweet corn.

What do you first do when you go on your phone in the morning? – Since becoming a blogger, I first check my WordPress app.

What is your favorite word? – Dandelion. I have no idea why.

Who do you go to for advice (you don’t have to answer that)? What is the best advice they have given you? – I go to several people but mainly my boyfriend and mother. He can always make me calmer and my mother can always make me feel more positive.

What are/is the thing/things that only you can do? – I don’t this there is something only I can do. But among all people I know, I’m the one who has the highest level and most advanced certificate in English. Basically, no one in my circle speaks better English than me.

Chocolate or vanilla? – Chocolate. Lots of it.

Define beauty, from your perspective. – Beauty is everywhere. In people from all shapes and sizes, in words, in nature, in kindness…

Do you like YouTube? Who is your favorite YouTuber? – I do. I have several, all moms. They are: A Farmhouse Full, Jamerril’s Large Family Table, Jessfam, Britney and Baby, This Gathered Nest, The Freckled Fox;

Dog, cat or rodent person? – Dogs are my favorite but I would love to have a cat and a Guinea pig or two.

Tea or coffee? – Both. But if I really have to pick one… coffee.

What is your zodiac sign? – Scorpio.

Do you believe in fortune-telling? – Not really.

Your biggest fear? – Losing the people I love, car accidents, cancer.

Your favorite cartoon? – I actually hate cartoons. Always have.

Have you ever petted a wild animal? if so what animal was it? – Nope, don’t think so.

What made you start your blog? – I have always wanted to be a blogger. I knew I would be one some day. I have wanted to have a blog for many years and have even tried a few times, always giving up. This time I started and haven’t stopped, since my first post!

Who are your favorite bloggers? – I’m sorry but I have about 30 favorite bloggers, it would be a huge list. They know who they are and you know you’re one of them!

Do you advertise your blog across social media platforms? – My posts are automatically shared on Twitter and Facebook. 

What lessons have you learnt from blogging so far? – That I can keep up with a project for a long time, dedication and that the internet is not such a bad place. I have met amazing people.

Do your family and friends support your blog? – They do. They read and make comments (to me)!

If you could become fluent overnight in any language, which would it be and why? – German, for sure!

What is your funniest memory, and why? – I have so many. It’s hard. I’m sorry. Maybe my sleep overs with my friends. We are 20 somethings and still have slumber parties! I always end up sleeping by midnight.

What is your all time favorite TV show? – House M.D. I also have a huge crush on Dr. House.

Do you have a hidden talent? (or just a cool talent) – I can sing pretty well. 

If you could go shopping with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why? – Can it be fictional? Blair Waldorf. She would be paying, by the way.

Do you have a pet peeve? – I might have a ton of them… But I hate people who stop on the sidewalk to casually talk and don’t let people walk through!

Day person or night person? (ie. have fun during the day or party all night?) – No fun at night. I’m and old soul. 

Country you would love to visit? – I feel like I say this so much that Donald Trump will end up sending me a plane ticket lol. The United States.

What is your favorite sport? – Swimming!

Do you prefer cities or the countryside? – The countryside. But close enough to the city, where I can shop, go to the movies, etc.

What’s your least favorite household chore? – Vacuuming. I have a special hate for it. Just hate it. I can scrub toilets for life, wash dishes for two hours but when it comes to the vacuum cleaner, I either ask my boyfriend to do it or do it complaining. 

Tradition you have on Easter? (Family/Friends/ Yourself?) – Spend it with my parents – in – law. My side of the family doesn’t really care or celebrate Easter.

Favorite hairstyle? – I wish I could do a French braid! 😦

Favorite accessory? – I love rings and bracelets. They make me feel put together and complete my outfits nicely.

Favorite dessert? (as you can tell, I’m still all about the food;)) – A Portuguese dessert called “Serradura”. It’s delicious. Or Oreo mousse. 

Where would your dream location to live in be? – Somewhere in the United States. I think maybe Washington or Oregon or Minnesota.

A funny thing that happened to you in the last week? – Hmmm… last week. Oh, I was eating a piece of toast while talking on the phone with my mom. My dog, Rosa, caught me off-guard and stole my toast from my hand. 

What’s one thing you wish you could change about one person in your life? – I don’t want to change anybody. It’s not my place to do so.

3 qualities you value in a person? – Honesty, intelligence and kindness.

A quote you really like, and why? – “Be the change you want to see in the world” (by Gandhi, I think). Because I want to do everything that I possibly can to make the world a little better! 

Have you read Harry Potter? If yes, what house are you in/would be and/or who’s your favorite character? If no, WHY?!? Explain,please  . – I have just finished the first book and my favorite character so far is Dumbledore. I think he is kind and approachable and just a nice old grandpa.
