Award Bunch! 7 Awards in one post (And I have tendinitis)

Since I am so late in doing this Award posts and since there are so many, I decided to do things differently this time, and join them together in one post, simplifying things for my readers. No one wants to read 10 Award posts in one day, right? I thought so hahaha

These are seven facts about me:

• I’m always cold. Always!! A few months ago I was in my office, teaching a private lesson and my Russian student was only wearing a light shirt, while I had the heat on, was wearing a sweater and had to put a blanket over my legs. Shame!!
• My favorite subjects in school were History and Portuguese.
• My grandmother’s name is Teresa. I love the name and would totally give it to my daughter.
• I had a cat name Gatsby that my mom stole. (Long story)
• There’s a frog who wants to live with us. We always find him on our backyard, just strolling and being happy, but we have to invite him out because Rosa doesn’t leave him alone.
• When I was sixteen and in 9th grade I was the most popular girl in school. I’m not even joking, ask my sister!
• I love converse shoes and I’ve been wanting a pink pair since I was ten.

These are seven facts about myself:

• After pink, purple is my second favorite color.
• I hate walking, I’m super lazy.
• When Rosa was a puppy, she was so bad we actually thought about giving her away because she would bite us.
• I actually hate Roses, the flower.
• We bought one of those pools you put on your backyard last Summer, we got a good deal so we bough a big one. Rosa destroyed the cover first and then… the pool.
• I have fallen in public numerous times. Each time I call my mother, laughing like a crazy person.

These are 9 things about myself (3 for each of my nominators):

• I tried an avocado for the second time yesterday, hoping I would like it this time and nope!!
• If I go to the beach I need to use 50+ sunscreen and be under the beach umbrella the whole time, otherwise I burn like a lobster!
• One day I want a huge closet with a million pairs of shoes.
• I sleep with my covers up to my ears and can’t sleep if my ears are not covered, Even in the Summer.
• I have a phobia of cameras. If I enter a building with lots of cameras I get nervous. (I know big brother is watching me)
• I always sleep with socks on. Sometimes even in the Summer. They are so comfy.
• I never tried anything other than a Big Mac, at McDonald’s. No other burger.
• I watch Sex and the City every year.
• I never read just one book at the same time!

1. Are you a morning person or a night owl? – Neither. I love to go to bed early but hate waking up early. I’m a morning owl? hahaha                                                                                                         2. What cereal is your favorite?  – OMG, let’s not talk about cereal please. They are little chocolate pillows with some milk cream inside. No idea if you have something similar.                 3. What games did you enjoy to play when you were younger?  – Uno!                                             4. If you could go to one school from a high school movie which one would you go to? (Duff?,        Easy A?, High school musical?)  – Mean girls! Because on Wednesdays they wear pink! hahaha  5. Which Disney Prince would your younger self marry ? – None. I would marry ken. Barbie’s husband.

1. What or who inspired you to blog? – I really wanted to be a blogger and I would find inspiration in every blog I would read. I just wanted to have on.
2. What was the biggest obstacle you overcame last year? Or recently, really? – I’m currently trying to overcome depression. That is a big one!
3. What’s your everyday mantra? – Right now it is “Take it slow” or “Be kind to yourself”
4. If you’re allowed one impossible thing only you can do, what would that be? – To have 48-hour days.
5. What’s your spirit mythical creature? – To be honest I don’t know much about mythical creatures, so I don’t know. Can you suggest one?

1. Do you believe in any superstitions? Or practice any even though you think it’s silly? – I’m not very superstitious. But there are a few things I don’t like, such as talking about death or making religious jokes.
2. What type of food did you hate as a kid but love now? – Broccoli, tomatoes, onions, and I can’t remember any more.
3. Can you name a person that you’ve never met but that has inspired you in some way? – I love Michelle Obama. I think she is inspiring. She is a strong woman who takes care of herself, well-educated and with a great sense of style. And I admire the way she treats her husband and marriage.
4. What was the last movie you watched? – I half watched Top Gun.
5. What is your favorite work(s) of fiction to geek out over? (We’re talking books, TV & film, comics, etc.)  – I’m all about classics. And medical shows. So nothing too interesting for most people.

How my blog started:

My blog started because I had always wanted to have one. I had tried several times bit never kept going, because I was lazy or didn’t feel like writing or lost my motivation. I guess the time wasn’t right. This time, I have posted almost every day since I started and I am absolutely in love with it!

4 pieces of advice to new bloggers:

1. Treat people with the respect you would expect to be treated with. Always be polite, kind and supportive;
2. Be present in the community. Follow other blogs, read, like posts, comment and let people know you like their work. Everyone loves positive feedback;
3. Write about what you love, because it is YOUR blog. You should never write just to please an audience. Be true to yourself and honest and write what you would like to read;
4. No discrimination. We are all a community and a family and there’s room for all kinds of people.

Three things that motivate me to blog:

1. How my blog has helped me with my depression and motivated me to live and get better.
2. The fact that people read and like my blog and my posts and encourage me to keep writing.
3. My blogging friends, who I adore and love being able to speak to every day. They’ve became an important part of my life.

Three people who motivate me to blog:

1. Myself, now that I know how much I love it and how good it is for me.
2. Mr. R, he even told my psychiatrist about how I’m a different person since I blog.
3. My sister and my real life best friends, who always read.

One thing I hope I will do to improve the world:

I can’t choose just one thing, but I can promise I will always try my best to make the world a better place, by doing different things and always being willing to help people.

My challenge question:

What would your days look like if time was not an issue?

I would be super productive and work on many projects at the same time, do all my hobbies, read many books and take advantage of my days!

1. What color do you wear the most? – I would have to say two. Pink and black.
2. Why did you start blogging? – I have always wanted to be a blogger and had tried many times.
3. Your most used app on your phone? – WordPress app.
4. If you could change your name to anything, what would you change it to? – I would change it to my middle. Belinda.
5. Cats or Dogs? – Both.
6. Are you a cheese burger or a salad person? – Both. I love junk food and healthy food equally.
7. Your number 1 used beauty product?  – Moisturizer. I have super dry and sensitive skin.
8. If you could shop at one place for the rest of your life, where would it be? – H&M.
9. How much would you have to be paid to wear pink everyday for a year? – I love pink but I don’t think I would do it for free so. I say one million lol. One million is fair for being the crazy pink lady for a year.
10. What is the number 1 quality you look for in a best friend? – honesty.
11. Your favorite day of the week? – Friday.

These are eleven facts about me:

1. If no one wakes me up, I can sleep for 12 hours straight or more.
2. I’m always afraid to fall in the stairs.
3. I have a shower routine that I always do. Does everyone have one?
4. I hate spending money on technology such as phones and computers and… stuff.
5. I love redecorating my house, moving the furniture, moving the things from one place to another.
6. I have one sister and one brother on my father’s side. None of them cares about me.
7. I bite my lip when I’m nervous.
8. I love taking care of people.
9. I always sneak food into the cinema.
10. I cannot watch I film I’m not interested in. It’s a waste of time for me.
11. My sister’s boyfriend works for me, as a math tutor for my students.

 

And… I’m done. I’m sure for doing it like this but I have many reasons:

• There were many Awards to do;
• Some people tell me they don’t like Award posts and skip them and I don’t want to bore anyone. That’s also why I’m doing no nominations;
• They are so late. Some of them are weeks old;
• None of them is my first;
