International Women’s Day

Dear girls,

I’m not very good at writing about this sort of theme, I always feel like I could have said so much more, but I couldn’t let the day go by without writing something to celebrate women. If you’re a man, please don’t take any offense. Celebrating women doesn’t mean that we think we are superior or more important, at least I don’t. It just means that there is something special about a woman that needs to be celebrated and cherished.

If you’re a woman and you’re reading this, I want you to know that your beautiful, important and strong. Your opinions matter, your choices matter, you’re smart enough to do whatever you want with your life. You are also strong. So, so strong. You can take everything. You can take on the world if you want to. And you’re so absolutely beautiful and special. I don’t care about your color, or race, nationality, religion, body shape, age, profession or sexual orientation. For me, you are simply beautiful. Gorgeous. Perfect. You need to know that and to keep that in your mind. You need to make the women in your life remember how beautiful and important they are. We need to take care of each other. We need to be there for one another. Together, we can do anything, as long as we are kind to each other.

What I mean is, know your worth. Know your power. Use them to be happy and to bring good into this world. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. That’s not true and you know it. Whatever you have on your mind that makes you question yourself, stop it. Don’t. You can do it. Trust me. I believe in you. Do you? Please do.

  1. Cheila this was so wonderful, and encouraging!! Lots of ladies out there get so bogged down with, life, expectaions(be it on ourselves or the ones we perceive the world puts on us) and sometimes just need to be reminded of all the wonderful things you said. God Bless you!! πŸ™‚
